Lisa comes home today after her two week whirlwind tour of the east coast. Her plane lands in 5 hours (in the intervening time, I’m building and releasing a version of our product today to a custom who is being trained in 6 hours… whee!).
On this trip: she met our baby niece, reconnected with her brother while getting to know his wife, hung out with old friends and new, celebrated her dad’s birthday, saw her step-mom’s wall color vision in person, visited her mom and step-dad, helped Statia move, and above all, ate all the food she loves that we never go to because I’m picky and lame. :-p
The cats… well, the cats don’t ever really miss anybody, as long as they have food, water, and scooped littler. The dog missed her a lot, spending time laying beneath her desk and whining for her to return. When the alarm went off this morning (first time using it since she left, I think), he barked like mad, thinking she was back and ready to take him out. His face visibly dropped when he saw it was me. No subtlety in dogs these days. 🙂
Of course, I missed her. Did you even have to ask? 🙂
